thermostats give you the ability to choose when your heating
or cooling system operates. You can have different
temperature settings at various times of the day. A
programmable thermostat is a good option for the family who
is on the run! Always ask what kind of thermostats are
available. Programmable thermostats come in several
different models.
For the
people on a fairly set schedule all seven days of the week,
the most basic model will allow you to set the temperature
at a more economical setting while you are away from home.
This thermostat is typically called a programmable
thermostat. An upgraded model will allow you to have weekend
and a weekday mode of operation. This thermostat is called a
5 day/2 day programmable thermostat. Most home owners
prefers the seven day programmable thermostat because it
allows you to have multiple settings each day. This
thermostat has the most versatility.

Zone Control

Air Conditioning offers zone control through Lennox and
WaterFurnace geothermal heating and cooling systems. Zone
control allows the homeowner to control the temperature in
specific areas of the house. Such as, you would like your
master suite cooler than your living room? No problem … set
the desired temperature for each area/zone of the house.
Zone control also saves energy by giving you the ability to
set temperatures in unoccupied areas while maintaining the
desired comfort levels in other areas.
The Lennox
Harmony Zone System is designed to provide up to four
separate heating/cooling zones using one indoor unit and one
outdoor unit. The Lennox two-speed heat pump/condenser
matched with the variable speed air handler is ideal for the
Lennox Harmony Zone System. The outside unit has two speeds
so it can shift into a lower, more economical speed when
needed. The variable speed blower will automatically adjust
to the needs of the home. Each zone has it's own thermostat
to control the temperature in that area. The Lennox Harmony
Zone System is compatible with the Smarthouse™ applications.
WaterFurnace
Premier IntelliZone® also has four zone capabilities. The
IntelliZone has flexibility designed into it. There are
several diagnostic lights designed into the main board as
well as the geothermal heating and cooling system. The
IntelliZone comes with a Comfort Mode or an Economy Mode.
The Comfort Mode will provide maximum comfort of the
different zones while the Economy Mode will have a short
delay before it allows the WaterFurnace geothermal system to
come on. One nice feature of the IntelliZone is the ability
to heat or cool in one zone and do the opposite in the other
zones!
