Newby's home using wet cellulose for insulation and radiant
barriers.
Polar
Insulation
installed the wet cellulose in the interior walls and
ceiling to give maximum insulation value and soundproofing.
These images show the sound proofing that was done with wet
cellulose.
This
is the view of the wall before any preparation.
This
is the start of preparing the wall for spraying. This
netting allows the interior walls to be sprayed.
Final
look before the spraying starts. Notice how close the
staples are to prevent the sheet rock being pushed out of
place later in the home construction.
Spraying
starts with pipes being completely covered to prevent any
infiltration.
Spraying
up the wall to the ceiling line getting all holes filled to
eliminate infiltration.
Shaving
the excess off to make the wall flat again for sheet rock.
Excess
being gathered to be used again eliminating waste and
keeping cost as low as possible.

Finally, to maximize energy efficiency, radiant barriers
where installed on the interior roof line to keep the attic
cooler. Lowering the temperature difference between the
attic and the home makes for a lower power bill.
